Cabo San Lucas is all about the beaches, the sunshine and the water and while many people enjoy swimming, snorkeling and sunbathing, cabo whale watch also offers a lot in terms of fishing. The best way to get a great fishing experience is to charter a fishing tour which ensures that you get expert advice, a great boat; the faculties you need to use your fish after you’ve caught it and a better time all around. There are many charters in Cabo San Lucas, but a particularly good one is the Blue Sky Fishing Charter.
Where Can You Get Your Blue Skies?
The Blue Sky Fishing Charter is located in Cabo San Lucas and has a forty three foot Riviera that can hold up to fifteen passengers. The ship sails the ocean waters, offering up fishing, whale watching and a sunset cruise for a romantic end to the day. The boat has been recently renovated and staff includes a hostess, chef, guitar player and a butler as well as plenty of assistance in terms of fishing and even activities for children to partake in while you go fishing. So Much Fish! Cabo is considered to be the Marlin capital of the world, so you can expect that you’ll go fishing for them! But Blue Sky fishing charter also offers up the chance to fish for things like Dorado, pacific sailfish and plenty of other fish. And whatever you can’t catch, you may be able to see, from seal lions to whales to dolphins. Plenty of people may even forgo the fishing in favor of sightseeing the massive cliffs, animals, mansions and the bay, so even if the fish aren’t behaving, you can still have a good time. And when there are runs, catching eight, ten or more fish is certainly not unheard of! Amazing Service The final point in this company’s favor is the fantastic service you’ll receive.
The tour guides are knowledgeable and fun, the food is top notch and the owner of the company will often go with groups and have a good time fishing and chatting about the area with guests. The crew is very knowledgeable and enjoys sailing and fishing and you just get a great time. Cabo Whale Watch offers all manner of experiences for tourists to enjoy and fishing should definitely be on your list. Even if you don’t catch anything (though your probably will!), you can still enjoy wildlife watching, sight-seeing and of course, a good time with the crew.

Whale Watching in Cabo

There are several beaches where it is safe to go snorkeling including: • Hilton Cove/Play Bledito. The best snorkeling here is in the north part of the each over submerged rocks. Don’t snorkel near the ‘hook’ to the right as there are too many jet skis which may run you down! • Cabo Pulmo: Although this beach is about two hours from town, it’s considered to be a fantastic spot for SCUBA and snorkeling. There is a huge variety of fish and tours include places like Mermaid Cove, the Sea Lion colony and some other reefs. • Santa Maria: Santa Maria is the most well known snorkeling coves around because it has tones and tones of tropical fish swimming around and it’s fairly peaceful during the week. • Lover’s Beach: This beach can only be reached via water taxi and it has some great snorkeling opportunities However, my favorite snorkeling beach is probably Playa Chileno (Chilean Beach), particularly in the higher tourist season when most of the tourists are going to Médano Beach. Playa Chileno is located along the Tourist Corridor and it’s considered to be one of the best spots for snorkeling and sunbathing for a number of reasons. It’s one of the cleanest beaches in all of Mexico; it has all of the amenities you could want such as paved parking, showers, bathrooms, shade and disability access, plus quiet waters with 2. wonderful snorkeling (moray eels, octopi, marine turtles, starfish, sponges, sea urchins, sea fans, starfish and invertebrates and sometimes even schools of mantas and pods of wild dolphins) plus tide pools. This is also the only beach where you may be able to listen to humpback whale song! If you hold your head underwater during whale season, you might hear it. Amazing! Keep in mind that unlike many of the other beaches, things like jet skis and other motorized water sports are banned at this beach. The reason is simple: to keep snorkelers and the animals safe! Also keep in mind that like every other beach, driving onto the sand is illegal and you’ll have to take your own trash bag and trash out of the beach. However, there are places where you can get rental equipment, blankets, umbrellas and a few other items to help you make the most of your time on the beach. It is very important when planning your own vacation to triple check on the beaches where you want to visit to ensure that they are safe for snorkeling and swimming and if you want peace and quiet, try doing your beach fun during the week when it tends to be quieter. These snorkeling beaches are in general safe for swimming and snorkeling,
